The App stores the following data locally on your device:

• Home & Room Information: Names and descriptions of your homes, rooms, storage spaces, and floor plan layouts
• Item Data: Names, descriptions, tags, and categories of items you track
• Photos: Images you capture of items and boxes (stored locally)
• Voice Recordings: Audio notes you record for item descriptions (stored locally)
• API Keys: Your personal OpenAI or Google Gemini API key if you choose Pro Analysis (stored securely on device)
• Backup Files: Exported backup archives containing your inventory data (stored locally or where you choose to save them)

1.2 Data Collected Automatically

• Location Data (Optional): GPS coordinates attached to photos when you enable location tagging
• Language Preference: Your preferred app language setting
• Website Analytics (Optional): Pages visited, device/browser details, and approximate location inferred from IP address when you accept analytics cookies

1.3 Advertising Data (Free Tier Only)

If you use the free, ad-supported version of the app, Google AdMob may collect:

• Advertising ID: A resettable device identifier used to personalize ads
• Device Information: Device type, OS version, and screen size
• Ad Interaction Data: Which ads are shown and whether you interact with them

You can remove advertising entirely with a one-time purchase of the Ad-Free tier ($1.99) or Pro tier ($4.99).

1.4 Subscription and Billing Data (Optional)

If you make a one-time purchase (Ad-Free for $1.99, Pro for $4.99) or future subscription purchases through Google Play, we receive limited purchase metadata:

• Product identifiers: App purchase, subscription tier, and credit pack IDs
• Subscription status: Active, expired, or canceled state and renewal dates
• Purchase tokens: Transaction identifiers used to verify entitlements

We do not receive or store your full payment details; Google Play processes the payment.

3.1 Google AdMob (Free Tier Only)

The free version of the app displays interstitial advertisements powered by Google AdMob. Ads are shown every 20 items you add to the app.

• AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve personalized ads

• Purchasing Ad-Free ($1.99) or Advanced ($4.99) removes all advertising

3.3 AI Providers (OpenAI and Google Gemini)

AI features are optional and only available on the Pro tier ($4.99). They support multiple providers and work in one mode for now:

• Bring Your Own Key (BYOK): Data goes directly from your device to your chosen AI provider (OpenAI or Google Gemini) using your own API key
• We do not store your photos or voice recordings on our servers
• A future Credits plan may route data through our servers to apply credits

3.4 Website Analytics (Firebase Analytics)

Our Website uses Firebase Analytics to understand usage and improve the site. This may collect information such as pages visited, device/browser details, and approximate location inferred from IP address.

Analytics is only loaded after you accept the cookie banner. You can withdraw consent by clearing this site's stored data in your browser.

3.5 No Other Third Parties

Aside from Google AdMob (ads on free tier), Google Play Billing (purchases), AI providers (Pro tier features), and Firebase Analytics (Website), we do not use:

4.1 Local-First Architecture

StorageAndBoxSnapper is designed with a "local-first" philosophy:

• All your data is stored on your device using SQLite database
• Sensitive data (API keys) is encrypted using Flutter Secure Storage
• Subscription entitlements and credit balances are stored on our servers to enable plan access
• We do not store your photos or voice recordings on our servers beyond transient AI processing
• Your data remains under your control at all times

4.2 Data Encryption

• API keys are stored using Android Keystore encryption
• All network communication uses HTTPS encryption

5. Your Rights and Choices

5.1 Data Control

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: All your data is visible within the app
• Modify: Edit any information at any time
• Delete: Remove individual items, rooms, homes, or all data
• Export: Generate QR code PDFs, export your complete inventory as reports, or create full backup archives
• Backup & Restore: Create complete backups of your data and restore them on the same or different device

5.2 Optional Features

You can choose whether to:

• Enable or disable AI features
• Enable or disable location tagging
• Grant or revoke camera/microphone permissions
• Manage subscriptions and credit purchases through Google Play

6. Data Retention

Your data remains on your device until you:

• Delete it within the app
• Uninstall the app
• Clear the app's data through device settings

Subscription and credit records are retained on our servers while your plan is active and as required for legal and compliance purposes.

7. Children's Privacy

StorageAndBoxSnapper is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app is intended for household organization by adults.
